Celina Jaitly pens emotional message amid brother’s detention in UAE: “I haven’t slept a single night without crying for you”

Actor Celina Jaitly has shared an emotional message on social media for her brother, Major (Retd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, who has been detained in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), since September 2024. Her post reflects the family’s ongoing struggle and anguish as they continue efforts to bring him back home to India.

Sharing a heartfelt note on Instagram, Celina wrote, “My Dumpy, I hope you’re ok, I hope you know I’m standing with you like a rock, I hope you know I haven’t slept a single night without crying for you, I hope you know I’d give up everything for you, I hope you know no one can ever come between us, I hope you know I left no stone unturned, I hope God will finally be kind to you & me my bhai (broken heart emoji) waiting for you.”

The post comes amid the family’s ongoing legal battle to secure Major Vikrant Jaitly’s release. On November 3 this year, the Delhi High Court heard the case and directed the Union of India to ensure that Celina’s brother receives effective legal representation. The court also issued a notice to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), asking officials to appoint a nodal officer to coordinate communication between Celina’s family and the authorities in the UAE.
