Rakul Preet Singh seeks divine blessings at Siddhivinayak temple ahead of De De Pyaar De 2 release

In a gesture of tradition and hope, actress Rakul Preet Singh visited the famed Siddhivinayak Temple in Dadar on Thursday, seeking the blessings of Lord Ganesha ahead of the theatrical release of her upcoming film De De Pyaar De 2.

Draped in a traditional yellow outfit, Rakul’s visit carried a quiet reverence. After paying her respects, she paused to interact with media personnel outside the temple. In a thoughtful gesture, she distributed prasad and encouraged attendees to accept it in their right hands.

The film sees Rakul sharing screen space with Bollywood veteran Ajay Devgn and actor R. Madhavan. She will play the character Ayesha Khurana, the romantic interest of Devgn’s Ashish Mehra. Madhavan is cast in the role of Ayesha’s father, adding a father-daughter dynamic to the narrative.

Speaking of her experience working with Madhavan, Rakul shared, “I have always been a fan of his. It was amazing associating with him as his daughter, I think we shared so many interesting conversations on sets, and learnt so much from him. What a fantastic actor he is and I think whenever the person next to you is a great actor, your performance also enhances and he helped me do that.”

She further added, “I think learning from his wisdom of all these years and just such a lovely person he is and so grounded, so amazing as a human being that it really reinstates the fact that you have to stay grounded, no matter how many years you have been in the industry, it's been an absolute delight working with him.”

Directed by Anshul Sharma and produced jointly by T‑Series, Luv Films and Ankur Garg Films, De De Pyaar De 2 explores the comedic and dramatic complications of a significant age-gap romance as Ashish endeavours to win over Ayesha’s family.

With the release slated for 14 November 2025, Rakul’s temple visit underscores her optimistic and respectful approach to her upcoming film launch.
